A 5 min walk takes you into the heart of historic Cumberland where you can visit the many shops, tour the museum, eat at locally owned restaurants and brewery.
Nearby Comox Lake is perfect for a swim, paddle or sunset.

This restored Queen Ann home has 3 bedrooms on the upper floor with 3 queen beds. Your private front entrance takes you to the main floor with a fully equipped kitchen, 3pc. bathroom, fully furnished dining room, living room and parlour with a comfy couch, love seat and armchair.
Located off the dining room is an outdoor deck where you can enjoy your morning coffee or evening glass of wine.
Washer/dryer located on the lower floor as well as access to the backyard, bike wash, bike storage and raised deck with gas for pit.

Summary: Great place, convenient location. Nice & clean. Great beds, comfy. Lots of room. Smart Tv was nice. Only negative (for us) was the smell of cannabis plant. It was mild, but we all noticed it.

Summary: Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful heritage house. The property is lovingly taken care of and features elegant details and furniture. As it turned out, the weather was mostly rainy, but we were more than happy to relax in the comfortable house, cooking meals with the old-fashioned stove and new BBQ, trying all the board games, and taking short strolls to downtown.

Summary: The Cumberland House was a perfect place for our family! It was very clean and spacious with access to the incredible Comix Valley! We hiked, mountain biked, kayaked in Comox Lake or the ocean every morning, relaxed at Nymph Falls, wandered Kye Bay during low tide and always had a perfect home base to come back to. Lynn and Glen were great hosts.

Summary: Beautiful spot. Visited in late July/early Aug and is a great time of year to visit Courtney/Cumberland, lots of great hiking, tubing, beach experiences in the area. House is clean, large, and a unique experience.

Summary: Plenty of space and unit has everything we need. Close to a public EV charging station which is convenient for us. Third floor can get quite hot in summer time though.

Summary: What an interesting and beautiful place! As soon as you enter the home, it feels like you have gone through a time warp back into the early 1900s. The ceiling is incredible. The craftmanship that went into the home is apparent and you can't help but want to learn more about the history of the home and the town of Cumberland. There is plenty of space and an easy to navigate kitchen. The house is quite slanted, so you do have to keep that in mind when cooking and walking...things slide one way a bit. Also keep in mind, because it is a late 1800s house, there is little sound-proofing, so you hear the people living downstairs and the neighbourhood sounds outside quite easily. The location is fantastic, with forest trails on all sides within 6 blocks, the main drag a few blocks away, and a beautiful view of the mountains from the porch. If you love small mountain valley towns and heritage homes, you will love The Cumberland House.

Summary: The property is lovely! The room design is warm and inviting with lots of interesting art and decor. The sitting area's are comfortable and spacious. The beds and linens are all comfortable and the bedrooms are large. It is a great location and the town of Cumberland is adorable. Lots of food options for a very small town and the ones we tried were all delicious. Made the short drives to neighbouring Courtney/Comox and they are equally as interesting, with great shopping and restaurants. All four of us had a great time and we would love to visit again someday to do more hikes and biking! Highly recommend this home to anyone and everyone!

Summary: Our weekend retreat was all about a 50th Birthday and a time for Grandma, Mum and Granddaughter to have a special memory together. It went very well and we loved the house. Would definitely do again
